Asuransi Jiwa Sinarmas (formerly known as Eka Life) started its operation on April 14,1985 under the name of PT. Asuransi Jiwa Purnamala Internasional Indonesia (PII). In 1989, it formed a joint venture with tha Ayala Group from the Philippines. On its way to improve its performance and to expand its business, Eka Life finally was completely owned by Sinar Mas at the end of 2005. In early 2007, PT. Asuransi Jiwa Eka Life changed its name to PT Asuransi Jiwa Sinarmas.

Total Assest has reached Rp. 7,8 Trillion, while Premium Income increased 39% compared previous year.
